My kneecaps began to feel warm. I knew that it was only a matter of time along with the gravitational pull that would melt my suit into my skin.

The fur on my back feathered out as I heard something laugh behind me. My stomach rolled as the laugh weaved its end into a hiss. A part of me didn’t even want to look back before I started to run.

It had seen what I’d done. I was careless on where I threw my match. How do I tell it that it was an accident?! I didn’t want to watch the forest burn on the only weekend I’d had off in months. I just need t- an electric buzz fills my lips and I begin to notice the growing light from its hands. I don’t think this thing has ears to hear my cries anyway. My eardrums shatter with its call before my world turns black.

After my last intergalactic therapy session I think the acceptance of being different has finally taken root. Life on earth will still be filled with challenges but now I have nothing to hide or change.

Alicent made it this far and just because her lunch was coming up her throat didn’t mean she’d turn her back now. Her toes curled into the water below as she began to arch her back to swing.

Jaxon would have made fun of me with how much time I was wasting standing at his grave. I wish I could have buried his body but the dragon only left behind his hand and sword.
